“Every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (James 1:17; NKJV). Let’s look at some of God’s blessings. He sent His Son to die on a cross (1 Peter 3:18) so our sins could be forgiven (Col 1:14), we could be saved or born again (John 3:5-7) and our spirits made new (Ezek 36:26). Our fellowship with God broken by sin (Is 59:2) was restored (1 John 1:9). Jesus won victory and authority for us over satan (1 Cor 15:51, Col 2:15). We have been set apart for His service (1 Cor 6:11) and God no longer sees our sins (Heb 8:12). God sees us as righteous (2 Cor 5:21). (John 1:16; NKJV). As His children (John 1:12), we can enjoy His abundant and eternal life, this includes all His material blessings and provision (John 10:10, 3:16), healing, health, wholeness (Matt 8:17) and strength (Is 41:10). The Holy Spirit brings God’s peace and joy to us (Rom 15:13) and His unconditional love, not just for us but to share with others (Jer 31:3, Mark 12:31). By His grace We have received all God has for us, His fullness. Grace is unmerited favour and power. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matt 6:33; NKJV), that’s all of God’s blessings. if we seek God with all our heart (Ps 119:2), trust Him (Prov 16:20), delight in His word (Ps 1:1-3) and obey it (Luke 11:28) we will be blessed. Finally, God ”is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can ask or think” (Eph 3:20; NKJV)!
